JanVan
Only in one of my drawings, one that a Nemechek tech helped me on, in the resource brower there is a symbol folder and within that a system folder. I'm trying use my previously created symbols to put into the 2d symbol folder so that I can use them in the plant catalogue. Sorry if this is a really long sentence. Is there a way that I can have the system folder accessable and also use my favorites? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted February 1, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 1, 2005 If you place 2D symbols in the 2D symbol folder, you will be able to use them when you define plants for your catalog. Take a look at the topic "Plant Catalog Symbols" in your online help, taking note of the graphical requirements for 2D symbols. Quote Link to comment

JanVan
what is the easiest way to move new symbols into the 2d symbol folder? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted February 2, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 2, 2005 JanVan, 1. You will need to import the entire System Folder to any file that you want to have your plant catalog (it is file-specific). 2. Select the symbol you want to move to the symbol folder, right-click it, and select move... from the context menu. In the dialog that displays, navigate to your 2D symbol folder and click OK.
