MGilc
Hi again all, So I have an existing plan and I just want to show the basic furniture - sink, toilet. I have no intention of modelling a 3D kitchen as it will take time, especially for me. Where in the resource manager are just flat 2d blocks? As always any help would be really appreciated Quote Link to comment
Guest Paulo Ferrari
Hi @MGilc As far as I know, Vectorworks have only Hybrid Objects (2D and 3D) in Library of objects (Blocks). If is necessary, you can import DWG files with this 2D Furnitures Blocks. Regards Paulo Ferrari Quote Link to comment
mjm
IMO, in a 2D (top/Plan) drawing, should not in general all VWX-supplied resource items be 'hybridized'? That would mean they'd have a functional 2d representation as well as their 3D resource, so p[lunking them down in your 2D world should work just fine - in general. 2 Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
@MGilc just use the 3D furnishings and stay in top/plan view, problem solved. I prefer using 3D assets during initial 2D work because. When the project goes 3D, the work is done When I cannibalize a project's entourage for a new one, it's 3D already. Once you curate your own collection of entourage and design elements, it's so nice to have them already in 3D when you need them. 4 Quote Link to comment
