With the vp selected click on class settings in the object info palette. Make sure the classes you need are visible. Do the same with the layer settings.

Note the Current class settings in the navigation palette don’t matter. They are seperate from the vp class settings. Make sure you are looking at the vp class settings in the oip.

Hmmm...  Not sure why vw shld crash.  ok I suggest make a duplicate copy Of the vp and turn all layers on. If nothing shows then turn all classes on.

You may have objects on the wrong layer or inside a group and if the group Is in a class that is set to a invisible in the vp then nothing will show. Turning all classes and layers on shld show if this is the case.

Another possibility would be if you have Layer Plane objects (2-dimensions only) and have the viewport set to an elevation view (front, left, right, back) then you would only get a single line. If you truly have a model with 3D objects, then it is probably Boh's suggestion above about the objects being in a group.

Perhaps a better way is rather than fighting with the viewport visibilities is to set the view you want (including layer and class selections) on the Design Layer(s) and then choose Create Viewport from the menu. The viewport will be set to match what you were looking at on the Design Layer(s).
