Additional Window Options

Question

I am sure this has been brought up before, but it needs to be reinforced.

Not sure if any of you had purchased a program called "Windoor" which was created by Julian Carr several years ago.

It was an add-on that worked seamlessly inside VW. Sadly,  it is no longer available to US VW users. Not quite sure why.   Politics perhaps. :-)

IF you are a registered owner you can still get updates for each new version of VW.

Julian is located in Australia.

Anyway, it allows the creation of window, doors and combinations of both that VW still cannot create. I would personally die without it.

I get that it is cool to be able to import excel spreadsheets into VW 2021, but honestly, I would much rather have more options for the window and door tools.

Listen up VW !!

For example just a few things that Windoor does, that would be very desirable for VW to include.

Kevin,

People here have been banging on this door for literally years now!  Windoor looks great and just what Vectorworks needs, they know it but unfortunately it seems to fall on deaf ears.

Yeah, indeed. Windoor is pretty amazing.

It is very unfortunate that, for some odd reason, it can't be acquired by people in the US anymore.

To your point, this is why I was reinforcing the need for VW to step up and expand our choices for windows and doors.  As you said, it is wayyyyyyyy overdue!

Seems Windoor cannot be acquired by UK users either.  I am sure Julian will explain why.

I'm a Windoor user in the UK but signed up before the 'Windoor' closed!. It's a long time ago but I think it was proving too time consuming to support all the different requirements from around the globe.

Whilst I like Windoor and use it almost exclusively, the answer rests with improvements to the window and door pios which are born out of a realistic and deeper undertsanding of the functionality required.

Yes we all need to keep hammering this home to Vectorworks!
