Christiaan
I'm working with a structural engineer who has been successfully importing my IFC models into Revit, but our latest round isn't going so well. He can only see bits of the model. Nothing has changed at my end I think, other than perhaps updating to macOS 11.1? Or perhaps I've changed an export setting? Thing is I can open my IFC export fine in the likes of BIMCollab ZOOM so it must me a setting change at his end? Any ideas what I could suggest to him? I tried exporting to Revit but there's no way to control version and he couldn't open my file as he's using v2019. Edited December 21, 2020 by Christiaan Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
The problem he appears to be having is that the slabs are not showing once he imports our IFC, or they're see-through. Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
Have you tried a small test file with all the same attributes as far as using stories, etc. etc. to see if that imports? Past doing that, I'm in over my head, sorry. If you can't get any love there, I'd recommend contacting tech support and having them take a look at your file. Wes Quote Link to comment
blimey
Hi Christiaan, as I'm reacting 3 weeks later, may be you found the solution, if not we've had similar issues that were solved by giving a fill to each of the components of the wall/slab that were "invisible" when imported in Revit by our Engineer. 1 Quote Link to comment
