Steve Barrett
I'd like to create a custom tag which has a field that tells me the total length of a connected truss system. Is this possible? I'm having trouble finding the field for "total length" in the options. Better yet, is there a way for a data tag to breakdown the quantity and length of the individual trusses in that connected truss system? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
I don't think that's possible. Yet. Truss systems are not objects so they can't host a data tag. (The system is a parameter of the truss object) You could make a worksheet that does a breakdown by truss system. But not a data tag. Quote Link to comment
Steve Barrett
Thanks for the quick response. I'm using a text field as a work around but that obviously opens itself up to human error. Hopefully that expanded capability will become an option in the near future. I can see type of resource working well for a number of situations in the entertainment field. Quote Link to comment
SCParker
Sam Jones' Autoplot tools does this. http://autoplotvw.com/APSL_Download.asp It's the best $35 you'll ever spend. Joshua Benghiat also has a fantastic truss tag tool. https://www.benghiatlighting.com/software/products/pl Quote Link to comment
