I am a new user to Vectorwork Architect and a some very simple questions to be answered. When I a beginning a new drawing, I think I want to use the Setup assistant. I will only be drawing residentail homes. I also will only be printing on 11x17 paper. When the setup assistant ask me about the print area(it has in the fields already 36x24, do I change this so it's 11x17? Next question: When setting the grid( it's at x=1/2 or something)do I change this so that it incorporates my drawing limits(meaning that I normally will always be drawing with the area being 30' x 30'(a house lot size)? Lastly, when it ask me about floor elevations, there is one row for floor elevation(normally in my case 10' being the height from the floor to the ceiling. But then there is another catagory where it asks for the ceiling elevation. What do I put there?

Maybe some of these question can be answered somewhere else so please steer me in the right direction.

Thanks

Simple answers here, I think: The print area can be changed at any time before you print, so if you enter 11x17 here its ok. Your printer should have this size already, so you can change it later in page setup. The grid, I think, is a visual reference that allows you to see the drawing limits easier. I usually put it at 48" or 96", depending on the scale of the drawing. The "snap to" grid I usually leave at 1", but you can change this at any time to reflect your module. The floor elevations setup is for modelling. It sets the heights of wall within the layer. The ceiling height is just as you would imagine- the height of the ceiling on that level. If your house has an 8' ceiling, you enter 8'. If you review the manual, it helps alot with the basics. Good luck.
