LarryO
Is anyone aware of what settings control the quality of the bitmap created when decomposing a pdf? I find that the image quality of the bitmap produced lacks the crisp focus of the original pdf. The document preferences for Resolution are at their max, including output at 600dpi but I don't feel that these are necessarily related to this process. Is it possible that this degradation of the bitmap image quality is a result of pdf licensing requirements? Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
I've noticed this too, that when you ungroup a PDF it seems to re-rasterize the image as lower quality. Curious why that is... Quote Link to comment
Jeremy Best
I've confirmed this recently and have today submitted a bug report about it (VB-191833). If this behaviour was due to licensing restrictions I don't believe they will apply any more as PDF was made an "open standard, maintained by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)."
