numeric keypad entry system not working?

I think I may have accidently pressed a key that turns off the feature that allows you to instantly type numeric data when starting a polyline. Also when selecting it does not highlight any selection.  If anyone knows how to resolve this issue please let me know!

Top of the drawing window.  Second mode bar.  Look for a gear with a disclosure arrow on the right side.  Second group of options is Allow numeric keypad entry for instant…

My migrated Workspace may be corrupt,

but it looks I lose this and several other settings after every OS reboot

on my Mac. Like allow direct Num input, Render long, Scale, ....

Thanks for the quick response! I should have added in the original question I already have this selected (hence the confusion why it is not working)

That is strange.

As said, I often lose this and similar settings,

but when set again, I never had any inconsistencies.

I have absolutely no idea why it isn't working. I thought maybe I'd pressed a random keyboard shortcut to cause this to happen (since I'm not the most advanced Vectorworks user) I've also tried the usual restarting + resetting workspace with still no luck. I am still able to edit the numerical data via the tab command or object info, it's just annoying as I have gotten used to being able to type straight away when working!

@odolan Have you tried trashing your preferences?

And as always, if you are using a custom workspace, make sure you try one of the defaults. Often workspaces brought forward from previous versions don't have the proper links to the most current version of tools.
