Joss Paine
Hi everyone, So I'm creating a project for school on a sloped site, where I'm using curved walls as paths by making them very wide and shallow. What I'd like to do next is use the bottom of these wall path things as pads but a wall Is not a compatible object to do to. I can create pads from polygons at key points to sort of get to where I need to be, but is there a more elegant solution? Thanks Quote Link to comment

I curious if you have tried either the Hardscape or Roadway (NURBS) tool. Those would be the tools I would suggest over using the wall for this purpose. Quote Link to comment
E|FA
I haven't tested this, but you could try using the Extract Surface tool on the bottom of the wall, and then use the resulting object as a Site Modifier by changing its class to Site-DTM-Modifier. There's probably a better way of generating a 3d object to turn into a site modifier, but that was my first thought. https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2021/eng/index.htm#t=VW2021_Guide%2FShapes3%2FExtracting_geometry.htm https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2021/eng/index.htm#t=VW2021_Guide%2FSiteModel1%2FSite_model_modification_overview.htm Edited December 14, 2020 by E|FA Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
@Joss Paine would Create Retaining Wall Site Modifier not do what you want? If you want to stick with the walls you've drawn rather than try the hardscape + roadway options Quote Link to comment
