No valid workspaces

Our laptops got shuffled between users at work.  The Vectorworks 2019 on my Mac laptop wasn't working so I deleted it to reinstall.  The install stalled for a long time at 75%, but the program is now in my applications folder.  However when I try to run it I get a message that "Vectorworks failed to start up because no valid workspaces could be loaded."  I imagine I need to uninstall and reinstall again, but am hopeful there's a workaround.

If you have be installed on another device you cld copy the workspace out of that. Or even a workspace out of a previous version on the same device.

 

That said it is odd the workspaces didn’t load and is probably a sign there are other as yet undiscovered problems. So a reinstall might be the best way in the end.
