Grzegorz Krzemien
Hello, I have a simple problem. I want to connect two walls with the same component (all attributes are connected with a class) to create one wall with various thickness. As you can see in the picture VW recognises ends correctly, but uses two different line styles - for the outer and inner face as defined in the class and for the endings much thinner. Any hints? Jonathan Pickup
you can create a Pillar... for the end of the wall and then use the wall join tool to join the walls to the pillar. 1 Quote Link to comment
Grzegorz Krzemien
@Jonathan Pickup Thanks, but it is rather work-around. In the Info Palette there is an options but it is greyed "Copy linestyle from..." and it is set to "Wall line". Is it possible to change this setting? Quote Link to comment
DBrown
With the sad state of our actual wall tool, the work-around that @Jonathan Pickup suggested is a good alternative... Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
@GRZEGORZ you need to edit the wall style + set the pen thickness in the wall attributes to 0.35: On the subject of the Pillar command depending on what exactly you're doing it may be advantageous to use the Create Wall Projection command instead. A Pillar is a separate object whereas a Feature In Wall object is part of the wall geometry. But neither method is wholly satisfactory 1 Quote Link to comment
