Linetype style for CUT object ONLY.

Dear experts,

 

How to set up different linetype styles for one 3D object (imported from DWG) depending of whether it is cut through or just visible in the section vieport. The "Class" that this object belongs to only shows the linetype option in generel. Thus it has the same style always. Vectorworks doesnt recognise that the object is cut?

Hi

If it is 3d objects and you make sections viewports you can assign a linestyle and weight to the sections style.

Sure, but each 3d object represents different material. Thus, it should be displayed with different hatch in section (in section ONLY).

Hi

If you want the materials to come through you should choose 

• Create Structural and Nonstructural Groups
• Merges the structural objects’ cross section profiles into one group, and the non-structural objects’ cross section profile into another, allowing them to have a different class setting
• Separate Cross Sections
• Generates a separate cross section for each sectioned object
