cannot see the camera when I want to place it in the field.

Hi,

I am ahcing a problem with placin gthe camera at the first place. When I click at the camera I just see the cursor without showing the camera itself and when I click in the field the camera is created but still I cannot see it, until I change the projection to 2D plan. it is not visible in anyother projectino format. is this how it is supposed to be? or do I need to change some settings? thanks.
