MartinFahrer
So you took something that was easily customizable that NO ONE was complaining and made it more difficult to adjust font and sizes on the fly? WHY!?!?! and is there a way I can go back to the more customizable version? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
The old drawing label is still available to be added to your workspace. In the workspace Editor look in the Legacy section of the tools and add it to your workspace. Just because you were not complaining about the old version does not mean that no one else what. There has been a long and persistent request for the back referencing option that was added to the new drawing label. 4 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Matt Panzer Posted October 26, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 26, 2020 Hi @MartinFahrer, As Pat mentioned, there have been requests to add more functionality and more configurations to Drawing Labels and other auto-coordination marker objects. These objects are actually far more customizable that the previous versions and that are also now stylable. You are right that you cannot simply select a Drawing Label object and change its text sizes via parameters, but you can create a few styles setup just how you like them and easily manage them throughout your file. And, when creating viewports, you can choose which Drawing Label style to place in the viewport. The improvements made to these objects should result in a much smoother workflow once you get acclimated with them. 1 Quote Link to comment
Kevin Allen
I find styles much more efficient than the old way. 3 Quote Link to comment

Agreed. not as bad as I feared once I learned the way they re did it. Pat Stanford: Yes you can use legacy to make a label but cant default legacy to default viewport label. Quote Link to comment
