Steve K (Leeds)
I am currently running Vectorworks 11. I have customised my workspace to include third party add on tools and menus. Will upgrading to version 11.1, then 11.5 destroy my customised workspace? If so, can I back it up and restore? islandmon
One other thing : Watch out for those nasty little Legacy Tools. v11.5.1 installs new Tools many having exactly the same names so be very careful... ckeck the created/modified dates ! Make sure you have only the latest new and approved v11.5.1 tools in your plug-in folder. Quote Link to comment
G_Hannigan
Steve, Major upgrades will (eg. 11 to 12) over-write the existing workspaces. I can't remember if 11.1 to 11.5 did. To be sure, make a copy of your Workspace Folder with the custom workspaces to another location on your computer. After the upgrade, copy any custom workspaces back into VW's Workspace Folder. I would do the same with the Plug-Ins Folder. You may have to copy some of the Third Party Plug-ins back into the Plug-Ins Folder. Again, it depends on what changes the upgrade makes.
