drelARCH
Hello, I want to reference newly created slab style (with components with material resources in it) to one of my project file. I am presented with dialogue like this...Is it safe to replace? what is actually doing this format? It is not visible in file ... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted October 15, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 15, 2020 That format is used for internal storage of texturing info. I don't know why it's visible to you in this alert. It doesn't change (at least not in any recent versions) so replacing or not should have the same effect. Hope this helps! Quote Link to comment
drelARCH
Thanks for answering my query. I dont know neither, never got such alert. Maybe something to do with materials resources...? Have been doing materials referencing back and forth recently ... Quote Link to comment
setdesigner
Hello @Dave Donley, I had the error message this morning. I was working on a venue file that is referenced in my working set design file. I changed color of revit wall and slab entities and when reloading the reference I clicked on replace. It took me a while to figure out why the all the Redshift viewports did not render anymore. The shaded ones would render spotlight but nothing with Redshift. I finally referenced the file in a previous version of the file now choosing cancel and Redshift was fine. I ended up importing a new light instrument and replaced all record format to fix my file and render with Redshift. So It does make a difference if using Redshift. Thanks Simon Quote Link to comment
