dunsterville
When I've set up a specific lineweight/colour Class, why does VW act like it doesn't believe that I couldn't possibly want to really really use want these settings!: After I've set the line to use in the dialog at the top of the page I'm on, I go to draw and it enters the default > black and 0.05. Aaargh! Can someone please stop me getting irritated, any brainwaves? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Go into your class setting(s) and make sure that the "use at creation" box is checked. Quote Link to comment
dunsterville
Thanks, that's got it. Why would this option be useful in the first place? Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Sometimes you want to retain the specific Class defaults , but only change the attributes of a single object within the Class. Other times you need all the attributes of a Class to have similar properties at creation or sometime later . It's a bit confusing ... my policy is always check the "use at creation" whenever a new Class is created. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Classes are extremely useful for a number of reasons. Sometimes I use a discreet class (like you have) to define graphic attributes, but there are other times when I use a discreet class simply to be able to make certain objects visible (or invisible) in different viewports, saved views, etc. Quote Link to comment
