hollister design Studio
A picture is worth a thousand words... Plant tool menu right nest to the resource manager. Resource manager shows my user library files, plant tool menu does not. How do I rectify this? Do I have to make my user library file "favorites"? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee bgoff Posted October 12, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 12, 2020 At the top of the Resource Manager you will find a little gear. Select it and in the dropdown you will find "Refresh Libraries" select that and let it process for a min or two. After that they should show up. Quote Link to comment
hollister design Studio
Found it and tried it. took a minute or so to 'spin'... But it didn't seem to update the user libraries in the planting tool. I added the file s to 'favorites' and now they're are accessible through the planting tool - which is what I was all I was going for! 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee bgoff Posted October 13, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 13, 2020 Sorry I misunderstood. You can move the plant file to Your user library (Library>object styles>plant) then refresh libraries. However I prefer to set the plant library in a single location for ease of upkeep and create an alias. Then move the alias to the before mentioned library. If you have multiple people using the plant library a better workflow would be to set up Workgroup Libraries and all designers then work from one file for those resources. This makes resource management a breeze! 1 Quote Link to comment
