tgm Posted March 28, 2006 Share Posted March 28, 2006 I am currently working on a new VW 11.5.1 file and I have a simple arc that I offset 17". When I go to dimension the radius the dimensions only show a difference of 1'-0-7/16". I have pulled the aligned dimension perpendicular to the arcs it shows the 17"+ difference even though the dimensions appear to be wrong. How can this be?? This really scares me as we export to our CNC using these VW files. Has anyone else experienced any dimension accuracy problems?? Thanks, Tom in PA Quote Link to comment
islandmon Posted March 28, 2006 Share Posted March 28, 2006 The simple ArcTool has two bounding box dimension parameters, X & Y based on the 1st click pt origin. The Arc via radius has read-outs of the radius & the bounding box dimensions. The OIP for both tools display the xy center , radius & diameter, etc. Holding down the shift key will constrain the ArcTool to 1:1:x:y proportionality. In my experience , VW does not have any dimension issues whatsoever. It is extremely accurate, 1>100 billion. Quote Link to comment
