hollister design Studio
I typically don't like the confusion that occurs when plant grouping lines overlap plant symbols. I often curve the offending grouping line around the plant symbols. In AutoCAD this was easy, because there is no auto generating grouping line I just drew it as I wanted it. In VW I'm loving all the autogenerated help on my planting plans... ...but I cant seem to figure out how to get the polygon displayed lines to edit. I've tried using the 'reshape tool', with generally unfortunate results. This could be that I'm still no entirely comfortable with the 'reshape tool' itself. So I've been turning 'polygon display' to 'none' and just drawing curved polylines when necessary. In this planting refresh project both VSRC and SEBM have hand draw grouping lines: I wondering if there is a cleaner VW way of accomplishing this? Thank you 3 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tony Kostreski Posted October 9, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 9, 2020 Hi @hollister design Studio, This is a great wish! I often just drew them manually as you show but it would be great if the polygon display had its own ability to be reshaped. Vectorworks Enhancement has been submitted. Internal VE-101224 Thanks, Tony Quote Link to comment

ARH
I"m so glad you asked this question! I'm having a lot of trouble with this as well - also with the lines zig zagging across my design with no way to move them out of the way furniture etc. Quote Link to comment
