Guest
A Dwf file is an AutoCAD file similar to a Pdf that they developed. I use their viewer - do a search on the net for 'Dwf viewer' and you should find a link to Autodesk's site - it is a free download. I think there are other dwf viewers and even apps that can convert dwfs to dwgs but I have not tried them - seems like a lot of mucking around. When I receive files from building designers or architects I request dwg files for importing into VW. I use two puters when working - a laptop and my desktop - the desktop I use for VW. What I have found handy is I can view the dwf file on my laptop and work away on my desktop. Darrell Quote Link to comment

Travis
The problem is. . .Autodesk doesn't think macs are worth supporting. There's no .dwf viewer for MacOS. I just request a copy in .pdf . . . and usually there's no resistance. Good luck, Quote Link to comment
Guest
I trolled around the internet searching for 'mac dwf viewer' - do not even use a mac - should not say that here; big trouble now - I found this site - http://www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/info.cfm?top=217&pg=1929 Scroll down to here DWF Options: CADViewer Light Try the ArNoNa CADViewer?. ArNoNa CADViewer is the only Java-based DWF viewer recommended by Autodesk, and provides Windows, Mac, and Unix users DWF viewing capabilities. And just like WHIP!, CADViewer Light is free. Takes you to this site http://www.cadviewer.com/ You have to fill out their form and receive an email etc but it must be worth a look if you are on a Mac Darrell Quote Link to comment
