Lightwright with 2021

Posted this in entertainment, but since it's absolutely catastrophic I thought I'd make sure it's here.

 

Vectorworks 2021 completely breaks data exchange if there are any copied/duplicated fixtures.

 

Do we have an eta on fix?

I'm afraid files created in SP0 are still corrupted. I cannot think of another way to fix it, but the attached script.

Close Lightwright, download the file and run the script from the menu in Tools->Plug-ins. Perform complete export and the issue should be resolved.

I ran the script but still ran into the duplication issue.  My file was created in VWX2021 SP1 however. Any suggestions that might fix the duplication issue and enable successful data exchange would be greatly appreciated.

@Coby Beck The problem with your file is a little different.

None of your accessories have the Light Info Record and this gives all of them a blank filed for the Device Type.

Vectorworks sends all of these over to LW as as regular accessories (rather then static accessories) so they get their own row in LW.

Because the accessories don't have a device type VW gets a little confused when the data comes back from LW without a device type.

I sent you a direct message with the details and hopefully a filed file.

FYI...this still appears to be very broken in SP2 (574483). Working on preparing a bug report to file with details.
