Sketchup plugin permissions problem

Recommended Posts

I run an OS X machine with several 'user' and one 'admin' account. I have got VW 12.0.1 Architect installed and the SketchUp plugin. The plugin runs fine in the admin account, but simply does nothing in the user accounts. I'm guessing this must be a permissions problem, but which permissions should I change to get the plugin to work in my normal accounts?

Thanks in advance, Nick

Obviously no one else was terribly interested in this problem, so just for future reference:

I got it working by running these two commands in Terminal in the admin account:

"sudo chmod -R a+rwx /Library/Frameworks/SU2VW.framework"

and

"sudo chmod -R a+rwx /Library/Frameworks/SketchUpReader.framework"

Like I said it got it working, but I can't be sure that this is the best way to do this. i.e. do this at your own risk.

regards, Nick
