Hi, I am trying to create a data tag with various dynamic text > User entered field (Enter text 1, N#, Enter text 2, Enter text 3).

Now, since these text can be of variable length, the text that goes for N# is getting overlapped with text in Enter text 1. Is there a way that I can have variable length text for Enter text 1 and N# text follows it? In the e.g. shown - "1" is coming in between the "Planting bed - Raised". I want "1" to be following the "Planting bed - Raised"

Hello @BGD,

 

You can set your first text to be Right aligned, but then it will not be aligned with the texts below it. I do not know if there is any other way to get what you are looking for.

@BGD, I have the same issue with Data Tags.

Unfortunately, this is not possible for now. However, I have raised that issue in a number of posts and have recently spoken with @Katarina Ollikainen about this and other shortcomings for VW developer team's consideration.

Having just thought about it, it might be useful to create an enhancement request in the Wishlist section of the forum. I will do that shortly, so please make sure to vote it up.

@BGD I'm just curious as to why you would want to do this.

Could you accomplish the purpose in a different way?

 

Super/Sub scripts are notorious for causing problems in many CAD type softwares, especially when exporting, printing, and sharing in a mixed OS platform.
