Habitat43
Hello guys, I'm here with my first question. I know is an easy one but I have lost several hours looking for a solution, so this might be faster. Take a look the the screenshot attached, how do I change the direction of that stair? I need to go down instead of going up.....I'm currently in VW220 Thanks!! Quote Link to comment
zoomer
From german drawing standards your stair is perfectly right. OK beside that, You have to move your stair's starting point to the opposite side, rotate the stair accordingly and set the stair settings to curve the other direction for your last steps. Habitat43
Thanks Zoomer, but how do I do that? Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Orientation : Left Hand vs Right Hand (?) in your first image ... Quote Link to comment
Habitat43
When your going up (after the 3 steps) the user should turn right. So I basically need what I have right now but change up to down. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I think there is no switch for up and down. You have to manually set all steps I proposed above + change/mix up number of treads in 1st vs 2nd run. Quote Link to comment
Habitat43
I managed to worked out, thanks for the help Quote Link to comment
Habitat43
You're right, there's no "switch" but there should be one lol, I did a new one and rotated. Quote Link to comment
zoomer
Yes, such a switch could be useful or faster. But sorry, I don`t really get why you placed it that way in the first place ? As you seem to be used to this, opposite to german CAD standards, Stair arrow direction stair ... 😃 To be serious I also posted several improvement/feature request for VW Stair Tool in the past. Like an option to extend Stair lengths, given by Story heights, from a custom end point, not always from start of stair and such things. Quote Link to comment
Habitat43
Ohh I see what you're saying about the direction of the stairs in my drawing, don't pay attention to the sketch beneath it 🙂 Actually I used VW a lot from 1999 until 2010, then I went back to AutoCAD, and now bc of several clients I see there's a market for people who works in VW so I\m trying to retake it 🙂 Quote Link to comment
