shikarri
I've been using VW at work for a few years now, but only now are we needing to do more 3D stuff. I'm trying to do a site/terrain model using a 2D engineers' survey. This is usually an imported AutoCad file, where the contours are made up of multiple lines. I convert the contours into polygons for ease of manipulation anyway, but is there an easy way to create a solid site model with these contours? I know ArchiCAD had a fairly straightforward conversion into site mesh. I've found a few long ways 'make do', but I'm sure there's an easier way. Kate Quote Link to comment
wv_vectorworker
the surveyors file may contain stake objects or some such thing. I remember getting ACAD files that I had very little work beyond selecting "create terrain model" (and getting the scale correct) to produce a terrain model. Quote Link to comment
