hollister design Studio
I'm considering moving over to vectorworks from my AutoCAD/MAYA workflow. One thing that concerns me is that I export 360 views to occulus and google albums to be viewed by clients and contractors. I take 360 photos of the project area with a 360 camera and have in MAYA used these spherical panoramas as environment lighting and backgrounds. I've googled the heck out of "vectorworks and panoramic background" but all I've found is tutorials on using long nonspherical panos as backgrounds. Is there a workflow for using spherical 360 images? Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
Yes, it's done via Renderworks Background Image. You can load an HDRI spherical panorama and it will bring in the image and lighting information. This background will appear in opengl and rendered views. I think you need Renderworks for this to function. So you will probably want to buy Designer, which includes Landmark's functions, instead. Pat Stanford
All versions of VW include Renderworks. This change was started in 2018 I believe. I would recommend Designer. If you are interested in relatively high end functions like spherical panoramas, my guess is that you will be happier having the complete Designer package so you have access to all of the Architect and Landmark features. 4 Quote Link to comment
