hi kevin,

thats a wish from me too (since a lot of years).

i report that each year as wish.

if push/pull is developed in the right direction,

it could be the most powerful 3d tool in vw.

i would do this like this, if i had the power:

push/pull line mode for manipulating lines of 3d objects

push/pull surface mode for manipulating surfaces of 3d objects

push/pull point mode for manipulating endpoints of 3d objects

options to push/pull non planar surfaces (a parallel thicken mode and whatever direction mode)

push/pull of parametric objects does not convert them to solids, they stay as parametrc objects (walls, slabs, ...)

3 possible modes how meshes are calculated: quad-face, nurbs surface and triangulated mesh to choose for each 3d object

separate, but with the possibility to convert one mesh into another mesh. and choose a standard mesh for new objects.

merge all different 3d-modes in one, so no more point-object, nurbs-object, subdivsision, 3d-polygon, ... whatever else exists,

all 3d is only one kind of object and can manipulated (no more converting point-object into nurbs and other conversions ....)

easy options to change 3d objects like sketchup did it (click, drag, enter values, done)

with changes like this vw could be the most powerful application, and i can give up all the other tools i use.

greetings

tobi
