problems opening a file (student version)

Hello,

I just updated my student version of vectorworks2019 to the student version of 2020. Now I am not able to open my files anymore. I get the following notification: "This files was saved in the student verion of vectorworks. Files saved in the student edition cannot be opened in the professional version."

This is strange, because I am using a student version.

I think you need to reach out to VW Tech Support on Monday. It seems like perhaps you got a professional version instead of the student version of 2020.

 

I have not heard of anyone else not able to upgrade student versions and still use their old files.
