I want bi fold doors - plain and simple

In this day and age where every client wants bi fold doors In their houses or extensions - 

 

why do we stilll not have bi fold doors in Vectorworks??!!

 

So for 2021 - bi fold doors and maybe just sort out the following and I might reconsider my VSS...

 

section open gl rendering issue where it render the elevation in viewport (render elevation view /from behind the section line)

 

artistic rendering styles with lines working As they should in panoramic images without having to do a workaround.

 

vss rendering panoramic lighting correctly now??

 

dont think it’s too much to be asking for really..

This is what comes to mind when I think of bi-fold doors. If so, you can do this in VW....  

Are you thinking of something different?

I made this with up to 4 panels.

 

 

When I want a special Door in VW and it does not work,

I try with the Window PIO.

Or vice versa.

I see no one from Vectorworks has commented on this....but they have read it....
so I’m guessing we’re still going to be waiting around for this one...disappointing yet again 🤨👎

More than 4 panels is the issue as they’re usually bigger doors than 4m wide and not always opening with 2 panels each side....

Well, 2021 has updated the door situations but....still no bifold exterior door patterns or greater than 4 panels...

 

only saving grace is they’ve added more panels (more than 4) to the sliding doors...!!!🎉🎉

Have you tried to do this with the Windows and have a bifold effect with more than 4 panels ? like 5 or 6 ??

No, I think that will work up to 4 panels only.

Haven't looked at VW 2021 so far, if there were any improvements

beside sliding doors.
