colepierce
Hello all, I'm trying to send some quick concepts to people and like the look of the "White Model Render Style" when I'm actually in the program, but as soon as I create a viewport of it and put it on a sheet layer to export as a PDF it doesn't look as good anymore. Is there something that changes during that process? I'm trying to create the viewport with high detail and exporting the PDF with high DPI as well with no luck... any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Daniel Dickman
When you edit your sheet layer, what is the DPI set to? Also what render mode are you using? OpenGL? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Assuming that the top image is the one you don't like, it looks like OpenGL to me and that you have Draw Edges turned on and the pen set to be relatively thick. Try setting the draw edges down to something smaller, maybe 1 to 8 pixels and see what happens. Quote Link to comment
colepierce
This is just with the "Render Style White Model" Renderworks setting. DPI is set to 300 and Draw Edges is turned off on OpenGL as well Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
The default resolution for sheet layers is 72 DPI. Check the Organization Dialog Box and make sure you are set to 150 or 300 DPI and see if you get better results. On my White Model render settings the line thickness is set to 0.5 pixels. At 72 DPI this will still be very thick and probably what you are seeing. Quote Link to comment
colepierce
Ah, that was it! I thought the sheet was actually set to 300 DPI but I guess I was just trying to export them as that. Thanks so much! Quote Link to comment
