Can't edit elevation viewport lines

Hi All,

 

I've created an elevation viewport and I can't edit the extent of the viewport lines.  I have the pink lines but I cant pick up the dashed lines to pick up the extent of the viewport and make it shorter. I'm sure its something simple but i'm trying to get a quick staircase elevation done but with no success because of these lines. Please see image attached. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a little hard to tell from the screenshot, but is the pink line a Section Line? If so, my guess is that you're trying to edit the Extents Beyond Cut Plane interactively, but the blue handle for that isn't showing. This is likely because that handle only appears when the Section Viewport has Extents Beyond Cut Plane set to a value other than infinite. Try going to the Section Viewport, clicking on Advanced Properties, and typing in a Finite Depth. Then you can go back to the Section Line and set it interactively.
