Showing an Icon above a Higher Design Layer Icon

Hi there, 

 

I'm trying to determine if it is possible to have an item that forms part of a lower ordered design layer to show above an icon on a higher ordered design layer.

 

eg. In the context of an event floorplan: I have an Audio Visual set up on design layer 2, including a stage, and furniture set on design layer 3. I need to show furniture on top of the stage, but without re-organizing the design layers due to Audio Visual Lighting and rigging requiring to be shown above the room set up. 

 

Is this, firstly, even possible without creating another design layer or re-ordering the layers, and secondly, a problem that has been overcome in the past?

For top/plan viewports In the vp layer settings you can change the stacking order of the design layers specific to just that Vp by grabbing the stacking number and dragging it up or down.
