MediaArtsDad
Is there any way to use the Structural Member Tool or any of the detailing tools to create Tapered Flange Beams? These are very common in pre-engineered structures where the columns along the wall start narrow and expand as they go up, then meet a rafter that starts wide and narrows as it goes towards a peak. My current workflow is to create these components using 3D solids and extrudes, but that has none of the structural plugin smarts or data, everything has to be added by hand. 1 Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
@MediaArtsDad, the short answer is no. You are doing the right thing by modeling them. You can model one, save it as a symbol and attached data to it. Then repeat at whatever interval you need down the length of the building. Wes Quote Link to comment
