FlorianRebmann
Hello, I am currently working on a project from which three floors are to be buried in the mountain. I have already created a terrain model and exempted the window fronts of the three floors, but there is still "Earth IN the building". How can I remove the terrain in the building, but still keep the earth ontop of the roof? I've been combing the terrain model long enough, but I really can't find a solution to this problem. I think Vectorworks should make up some time when it comes to terrain models. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
The Vectorworks Terrain Modeler does not support concave areas, so the DTM by itself will not do what you want. I don't use the DTM very much, but the best I can think of is to duplicate the DTM to a different layer and then cut out the parts that will sit on top of your building and then move them back to the DTM/Model layer. Or maybe even leave them on the separate layer higher in the stacking order. The DTM for the building model will have full cutouts for the building. Quote Link to comment
