Yingtang Lu
Hello all, I am having an issue after I created a 3D viewport. The view in the viewport that I created is zoomed out and included every visible object on layers. Edited July 8, 2020 by Yingtang Lu inserted extra images Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
I am not sure I understand the question. By default, if you create a viewport it will include all visible items. If you only want part of the drawing you need to draw a single closed 2D shape and leave it selected. You will be asked if you want to use this as a crop object. You can go into the existing Viewport, add a crop object and then change the scale as necessary to make the viewport the size you want. HTH Quote Link to comment
0 Yingtang Lu
@Pat Stanford Hi! Thank for the reply. I followed the second part of this video on Youtube to create a custom 3D viewport. However, it did not give the same result on my device. The method you mentioned is the first part of the video. Quote Link to comment
0 Pat Stanford
I don't know why you are having problems. While they did not show using a Screen Plane object as a crop for a 3D viewport, it works just like he showed for the Top/Plan viewport. In a test I just did, I get a result (in VW2020) similar to what I think you are seeing. Even if I am zoomed in on part of a design layer, the viewport created is sized to show all the objects on the design layer unless I have a crop object selected when I create the viewport. 2 Quote Link to comment
