Can VW do parametric formulas like AutoCad?

Question

Hey Guys,

I am considering purchasing VW. It's important to me that I can make flexible drawings if constraints change. In Autocad I have achieved this via parametric formulas i.e. If the circle radius d1 = 10mm then rectangle width d2 = 2*d1. Does VW provide any sort of equivalent to this?

Thanks!

This would probably best be handled using Marionette objects. They are very easy to make.

@gazhunu - if you’re meaning something like parametric formulas and constraints (similar to the attached image below), as Robert Anderson said, it is possible using Marionette, but it might not be as easy as it appears to be with AutoCad.

Vw also has 2D parametric dimensional / geometric constraints, but they do not allow for the input of formulas, so they would  be of no use in your case.
