VW11.5 fille will no longer open

I was using VW11.5 and working in a drawing when it kicked me out of the program right in the middle of clicking. It has done this before but I can always just go open the file again. This time when I try to re-open the file it starts up VW and starts to upload the file but then right before it opens it kicks me out of the program again. No error messages or anything and the file says it still has data in it. Any suggestions on what the problem might be and how to fix it?

It is useful for helpers if you list what version of VW you are using, what OS you are running on what type of computer.

If you are on a Mac, try restarting. If that doesn't result in the problem clearing, restart again and run Repair Permissions in Disk Utility.

I'm using VWArchitect11.5.1 and Microsoft Windows XP Pro. 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600. The file is on a server not on my computer. Others on the server cannot open it either.

You might try copying the errant file to your local hard drive and see if it will open there. If not, I'd check out the "rescue" method outlined in "How to Save a Corrupt File" at http://www.archoncad.co.nz/resources/resources.php

We tried saving it to hard drives...no luck...Came across how to save corrupt file...It's working! Thanks! Just saved me from losing two weeks worth of work!

Note that in other cases, you may want to call NNA tech support; I've been part of helping them repair several corrupted files. Also, often it helps us find a bug.
