Hi there.  I am working on a project that requires me to use the 3D model of another firm.  I only work in 2D at the moment so wanted to reference their model in and, using their viewport sections, draw in 2D overtop.

I have been able to reference their model in but not sure if it is possible to reference in their viewports into model space so that I can draw over - any help would be greatly appreciated and hopefully this all makes sense!

Thanks in advance

You can’t reference sheet layer viewports. Perhaps just copy and paste their viewports into your drawing? The trick to dong that is grouping the vp prior to copying.
Paste and in ungroup onto a sheet layer in your file then use the eye dropper tool to match the class and layer visibilities.

You can then work I the 2d VP annotation space of the SLVPs.
