Dell XPS 13

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have recently upgraded my laptop to a Dell XPS 13 because my last one broke. Mine is the new edition (as of 16/6/2020) with a 10th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-1065G7 and 16GB of RAM. As with most laptops an integrated graphics card but has access to more than 1GB of memory.

Has anyone tried using this laptop with Vectorworks? And if so which versions?

I am having some issues and want to confirm it is not my hardware.

Thanks!

Vectorworks needs the VRAM, because it is several hundred times faster than RAM. VRAM is only available on a dedicated graphics card. Your laptop does not meet the minimum requirements, so Vectorworks will not run smoothly on it. Return the device if you can. Before buying another one ask the forum if it is recommendable. There are many experienced users here who will be happy to advise you on hardware purchases.
