KIT KOLLMEYER
Is there a way to create automated floor and roof type schedules? I have modified the pre-formatted wall style report to create a nice wall type schedule that suits our needs. I'm not sure how to do the same for roof and floor slabs. Any thoughts? I've attached my wall type schedule file and screen shot. Wall Type Schedule.vwx Quote Link to comment
Popular Post michaelk
See if this does what you need. The trick is to 1) switch the database criteria to include only slabs or roof faces 2) change the GetIFCProperty call. If you edit the style slab or wall or roof style then click on the IFC… button you can see the values to type into the GetIFCProperty( ). The wall type, slab type, and roof type and roof type need to be assigned. By default they will all be xx-1. To edit that you can edit the wall/slab/roof style, click on the Data tab and edit the information in the Mark and Description fields. This is probably as clear as mud. Post back if you still have questions. Wall Type Schedule~.vwx 5 Quote Link to comment
KIT KOLLMEYER
Thank you michaelk, this is exactly what I needed! Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Glad it worked. I don't use IFC data and I always get confused with roof planes because they are classified as slabs. Quote Link to comment
whashisface
Hi All I've used the wall type schedule with components worksheet built into VWs to create a similar wall schedule as the files referenced here don't seem to exist anymore. A couple of questions: In the past [although it's been about 5 years since I last used worksheets properly] I think I've used the "summarise items" tick box to only show one instance of each wall but this means I can't see the components of the wall listed individually. Is there a way to just see one instance of each wall type/style and still list the components? Or have people got around this by creating a separate layer with each wall style drawn on it indivudually? How do I show a small extract of each wall as per the example above? Can you specify how large an image you see with the image function? Or, again, has this been achieved by having a small section each wall style drawn on a separate layer? Any help would be much appreciated! Quote Link to comment
