Kaare Baekgaard
Just installed VW 12 on my new home computer - an Imac with OSX Tiger. I cant get the rotate tool to work on this computer. The problem is, that the tool ignores keyboard input in the toolbar angle field. But on my job computer - a dual 1,8GHz G5 with OSX 10.3.9 the same tool seems to work just fine - but here I do not get the same options in the toolbar as on my home computer. (rotate duplicate/rotate in screen plane/plus a tool, I can't remember) Am I really dealing with two different tools, that look similar? Or does the same tool work different on these two systems? Is there a fix for the dysfunction on my home Mac, which is quite disastrous? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Biplab Posted January 2, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 2, 2006 The rotate 2D and rotate 3D tools have been consolidated in VW12. Depending upon the selected object(s) - whether they are 2D or 3D, you will get different mode bar options. Quote Link to comment
Kaare Baekgaard
You are right - and it is a bug: The rotate tool doesn't work for 3D objects, on either of my macs. It ignores keyboard input into the angle field of the toolbar. The workaround is to draw a 2D object, select it along with any 3D object you need to rotate and then select the rotate tool. I asume it will be corrected in the next update. Quote Link to comment
rdrines
This also happens in the Windows version if the View isn't the Top Plan view. Quote Link to comment
