Can't find Data Visualization tool

Hello! I've never messed with the data visualization tool, and honestly did not know it was even an option until I stumbled across it in a YouTube tutorial. I went to play around with it but can't find it in my top visualization toolbar (see pic). Every video tutorial I see shows it in the top/right... but I have nothing and can't find it via any searches. I am currently using Vectorworks Architect 2020. Any suggestions?

I looks like you are on Windows and I am on Mac, but the functionality should be the same.

 

At the very right end of the data bar is a black disclosure triangle. Click it and you get a list of all of the options that can be displayed in the bar. Check and make sure that Data visualization is checked.

 

The Toggle shortcut in the Mode bar can be selected similarly.

I actually do have "Data Visualizations - Short" checked. I've even toggled it between the short and the long designations to see if anything would pop up... but still nothing. The icon itself never appears.

Hans-Olav, I've seen what it looks like from the tutorials, but I do not have that icon. That is my issue... no icon.

What if you choose the long option? will it then appear?

Nope. I have toggled back and forth multiple times and it still doesn't show up. I've tried restarting the program and changing workspaces between Architect and Fundamentals, and still nothing.

Try turning off some of the other options. It is possible that you just have more options set than you have screen width.

 

Sometimes you have to make hard choices in life ;-)

Bingo! Thanks Pat! I had not changed any of the defaults so it was just sitting back there hiding due to lack of monitor space.
