ules
Hi. I was wondering is it possible to convert drawings that have been created in Minicad v6 so that they can be opened up in Vectorworks 11.0? If so can you let me know what software will do the job Many Thanks Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Tech should answer this ... nevertheless, in my case I open Minicad6 in Classic OS9.2 then first print Layers to PDF and then Export the file to Vectorscript Text which I then imports into VW 11+. Some objects like 3D loci are lost in the translation but overall the information is there. Quote Link to comment
Administrator Pharr Posted December 20, 2005 Administrator Share Posted December 20, 2005 I'd like to take a moment to encourage everyone to use caution before using export to VectorScript as a file translation step. While this does support basic geometry, and has the advsantage that the geometry can be inspected in its VectorScript form using a text editor - a number of geometry types and file structures could be lost as VectorScript cannot completely represent the richness of our modern file format. Please use caution. Quote Link to comment
Guest
If you have multiple files that need converting, please contact Customer service to have a VW 9 CD sent to you. You can simply open the files in VW 9, save it and open the converted 9 file in VW 11. If it is only one file, you can send it to tech@ and we will get to it as soon as possible. Please note, we are experiencing an unusually high call and email volume right now. Please be patient while we take each request in the order received. Quote Link to comment
