C. Andrew Dunning
Is there any way to use Boolean operations in the Data Visualization system? I'm wanting something like this (copied from a Report): =((('RigPoint'.'Type'='1-Ton') & (VALUE('RigPoint'.'LoadWeightLB')>2000)) | (('RigPoint'.'Type'='1/2-Ton') & (VALUE('RigPoint'.'LoadWeightLB')>1000))). Thanks for any help... Quote Link to comment
Sam Jones
please display the RigPoints with the requested attributes that meet the following criteria: The ".Type" parameter equals "1-Ton" AND the "LoadWeightLB" parameter greater than 2000 OR The ".Type" parameter equals "1/2-Ton" AND the "LoadWeightLB" parameter greater than 1000 :-) :-) :-) It looks like he wants data display to flag overloaded rig points. C. Andrew Dunning
RigPoint is a production rigging PIO. I want to mark each instance w. a load that is over-spec. So...essentially...I want to mark instances with a type of 1-Ton and a load weight of > 2000 lb or a type of 1/2-Ton and a load weight of > 1000 lb etc. That help? Quote Link to comment

Kevin Allen
So, as I read this you want different types of hoists to be collected as long as they are over 1000 lbs. As opposed to selecting just a specific type of hoist? I don't have the answer, but this seems a reasonable VE If not possible. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
In VW2020 you should be able to define the Criteria section at the top of the Edit Data Visualization dialog box to contain the criteria you have. Edit the Display Criteria color in the bottom box and make sure you have the Apply Attributes box checked in the Edit Attributes Value dialog box. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
I do have the Criteria box but it doesn't (that I can tell) allow me to do a series of ANDs and ORs like I'm wanting. I do see a space in the dialog that shows the "long-hand" result of the dialog but I can't edit that the way I could w. Reports. I was really hoping someone had figured out a way to do that... Pat Stanford
Set up a different visualization for each OR condition and then use the Select Multiple Vizualizations to turn them both on at the same time. 1 Quote Link to comment
scottmoore
I'll jump in on the requests since this started with a question I have for Andy. I was not having much luck making this work and would be fine even if I had to have a DV for each type of hoist. ....and Pat beat me to it. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Good call, Pat! While I'd love a single DV solution, that works quite well! Quote Link to comment
