tdjsperrazza
Hi all, I'm working on a theatrical venue where everything in the building is raked (the balcony, the stage, the auditorium floor). Most of the doors in the building are in walls at either the top or bottom of the rake, but there are two openings on the stage where the bottom of the cased opening needs to follow the rake of the floor. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to accomplish this? Screenshot attached for clarity. Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
You can accomplish this visually by simply lowering the door. As long as the Floor (stage) is continuous, as continues past the wall, it will look as intended. See attached example: 1 Quote Link to comment
tdjsperrazza
@CipesDesign thank you! I was getting tripped up by the opening height, but duh! Add the depth you're sinking into the floor to the total height to reflect it accurately. Thanks for making that easy! Quote Link to comment
PeterYip
Alternative you could also use the wall recesses tool, that way your section would shows up accurate as well. https://app-help.vectorworks.net/2016/eng/VW2016_Guide/Walls/Creating_Wall_Recesses.htm 1 Quote Link to comment
