Pat Stanford
Just drag carefully to the edge of the screen. It should start scrolling when the cursor is in the ruler bars (or equivalent distance from the edge on sides that don't have rulers. If you move the cursor past the edge of the window scrolling will stop. Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
What Pat said^^^ for scrolling. There are alternatives to scrolling: Zoom in with scroll wheel to start point, make selection and determine start point with Move By Points tool (check the tool prefs to verify no copies or offsets) Zoom out with scroll wheel, zoom in to target area, click to complete the move. Or if you can hold onto the drag and scroll at same time (difficult for me, but maybe you are able), just stay with the Select tool instead of Move By Points. Zoom in, Select and start the drag, zoom out until target visible, zoom to the target point, release the drag. Related: Zoom view out to see both target and end points. Hover at the start and Snap Loupe (tap the z key). View zooms to the hover area. Tap again if more zoom needed. Click/hold to start the drag. This click selects the object and restores the view. Then Snap Loupe at the target area. Release the drag at target point. This also works with the Move By Points tool. Use split screen. enable Multiple View (in the View Menu) - one panel at the start position, another panel at end position. Or a floating view panel centered at one position. Then drag or Move By Points or copy paste from one panel to the other. Probably some variations on these. Scroll, zoom, drag, Move By Points, whatever works best for you! -B Quote Link to comment
