setting the plane of 2d text

It is harder to move already created text, but if you are creating the text, you can create a working plane and then use the Text tool to add text to the plane.

 

Once you have text in the drawing, if it is not Screen Plane or Layer Plane it will probably say it is 3D plane. In any case, create a working plane and then change the text plane to Working Plane and it will be aligned to the working plane, but probably not in the location you want it to be.

Yes that's very cool.  I was looking for a way to align text to an extrusion rather than a plane.  But debugging your script let me look at the matrix in question, so I think I can futz with the numbers and come up with a solution.  

 

Thanks!  It's these type of simple scripts that I wish were available for every node, so beginners like me can see what is supposed to happen w/ each node.
