creating plant catalog (newbie)

I am creating a generic plant list and I am finding that plant symbols are picking up a texure pattern from somewhere. It is not with all of the ones I am creating.

I cannot see where the texture is coming from.

The default "generic" plants have a default pattern. All plants will take on the color and pattern defaults of the Attribute Palette when they are placed.

Thanks robert, however I am not finding this to be the case.

The generic plant calalog I created is a simple list of about 12 plant types.

Of these 10 appear as you described, however there are a couple that are taking on a texture. The texture appears on the symbol displayed in the resource browser.

I can get this to occur by either creating a new plant or duplicating one.

My work around is to edit the symbol by rightclicking on it in the resource browser, selecting Edit and edit the 2D component.

10.5 should generate more generic plant types than that, I think. Which of the generic plants have a texture? What are their ID names?

I understand my version will generate more generic types. This is just the number I am begining with.

The symbols that are occasionally picking up the hatch are:

Is it a hatch or a texture? They're not the same thing....
